The best natural deodorant

1

Over the past year I’ve been trying out all different types and brands of natural, non-toxic deodorants and this is by far the best one that I’ve found.

It’s pretty damn good.

Although it doesn’t completely stop me sweating, it keeps me smelling fresh all day err day and I’m comforted knowing that I’m not putting my health at risk by using conventional deodorants.

It’s made with only natural and certified organic ingredients and contains NO NASTIES such as aluminium, alcohol, synthetic fragrances, petrochemicals, pthalates, talc or parabens. It’s also vegan and made in Australia. (Hooray!)

In fact, it’s so natural that I gave one to a friend who can sometimes get a little… well, let’s just say you wouldn’t want to be squashed beside him on a packed train on a hot day, and he asked me whether he was supposed to rub it on his armpits or spread it on toast.

After reading the ingredients again, I wasn’t quite sure either (shea butter, coconut oil, lime… the makings of a delicious raw dessert that Pete Evans might whip up for one of his Paleo parties, perhaps?).

But that’s a good thing!

If a product is natural enough to eat, then its safe enough to put on your body.

And the scent?

Well it’s a nice mix of botanical, sweet and spicy so it’s great for both men and women!

Word of warning though: You only need to use a pea-sized amount as the sodium bicarbonate used in most natural deodorant pastes can sometimes cause redness if you have sensitive skin. One of my friends didn’t know this and just slapped it on like she was icing a cake and ended up burning her armpits (I laughed for days. She was fine).

What natural deodorants have you tried? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
